I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Institute of Astronomy, the University of Cambridge.
I am interested in star clusters, binary stars and making novel inferences on data using machine learning (in a broad sense). Recently, I have
- characterized a wide binary in which the pattern of chemical abundance differences suggest engulfment of rocky planets in one of the pair. [paper]
- proposed a new way to look for comoving structures using astrometric data such as Gaia. Applying this to Gaia DR1, we found some new clusters within the Solar neighbourhood. [paper]
